Well, I have finished my Samus cosplay and just in time. Orientation for my new job is tomorrow and I'm going to be focusing in that for awhile. ^^

As for my personal life, Charlie just got his green card so I have been going all around town trying to change my last name. I would have done it sooner but I read on the internet that someone did it and then they said there was "Conflicting data" or something lame like that. Better safe than sorry.

Also, we are looking for new things for the apartment. We got some gifts for some things but we still need a vacuum, microwave, TV, and stuff like that. We are looking into TVs but I don't know. My mom doesn't want me to spend too much but we found a nice TV at Best Buy for $1,000. It's a 40" Samsung with 120 Hz, 80,000:1 contrast, 1080p, everything we were looking for. My mom tells me to buy a piece of crap TV and then in a year when it breaks you can get the new TVs with the new graphics and everything, but I don't know. Charlie is going to call the apt place today, they keep saying they need to verify where he works but it's like, how long should that take? It's been 2 weeks! We are thinking of just applying at another place, especially since the other place has no application fee. I don't know, if I have to stay in my mom's house one more month I will scream! XD But in the good news we could get like $2,000 dollars saved up if we don't spend too much. Eh, we'll figure it out.

In cosplay/gaming news. I think I know who I want to cosplay next. Cosmos from Dissidia! ^__^ I know the PERFECT wig to buy. It's really expensive but it's the perfect length and has the right color and curl to it and everything. That and then making a white dress, it shouldn't be that hard to do, but I say that about every cosplay and then I realize that nothing is easy! XD

Well, I finished my Princess Lana cosplay! (YAY!) so now the only loose end I really have is Zero Suit Samus and Reimi. I hope to finish those at some time but for now I am focusing on Otakon 2009. We bought a special gun for CC Cloud but unfortunately it has "moving parts" so I don't think we can bring it to the con, better safe than sorry, besides, you don't really see Cloud shoot too often, I re-checked all the FMV and there isn't much of him shooting. We are also working on the baton like thing and that is almost done, I am so happy with the color of spray paint we bought, it really looks perfect! ^__^ Other than that I went to a local convention Anime Syracuse as Princess Peach just to see how it would work. I now know I NEED to hot glue the crown to the wig, it fell off REPEATEDLY! And worse, I came in fourth place and when I went to accept my prize (Mario Kart DS candies! <3) the crown fell off AGAIN and one of my jewels broke off! X__X I WISHED I had some sort of super glue with me but unfortunately I did not. So the Princess, was crownless! XDD I have to make sure that doesn't happen at Otakon. Also, I found that moving around as Peach, is very difficult as lace likes to get caught up on corners! XDD Charlie would go somewhere and I would be a mile behind! XDD Charlie right now is working on a huge Mario head made of paper mache. It's really cool and I have complete faith that it will look awesome when he is finished. We tried to plan out where we can put holes in to breathe and all that good stuff. We have like a month and a half, it's really starting to get scary how much we have to get done! X__X Well, I'm off for now, later! ^__^

I didn't update my DA journal for a year? X__X How crazy is that? Ok, well, anyways to update. Since the time of my last post, things have been a little crazy. I left my husband and moved in with my mother, fell in love with my current guy and right now we are trying to get a life together.

In cosplay news, I am currently inspired in too many places! XDD I fell in love with 4 designs Zero Suit Samus, Before Crisis Aerith, Reimi from Star Ocean 4, and Princess Lana from Captain N. I blame it completely on Charlie, he keeps playing all these games and I start watching and then I get hooked, although I have always loved Metroid. With Lana that is just something that I love because I grew up during that time, Captain N was a big thing for me. ^__^

Other than that I am trying to get ready for Otakon. I plan on bringing Crisis Core Aerith and Princess Peach. Because Charlie wants to join me, I am trying to finish the Crisis Core Cloud I was already making and make a Mario cosplay. I went to a local costume shop and looked around, I got some ideas for the Mario hat, mainly I think I need to buy a foam that isn't too think, not too thin that I can use for it. I really want him to have a Mario hat and big clown nose and huge mustache, lol, I want it to be mascot like without wearing a big fake head. XDD

FACTS:

1. Well, when I was younger, I used to have a lot of lizards and toads as pets! XDD Pretty much a tom boy growing up. X__X

2. I can get crazy in the right setting. I have a picture on my sister's computer right now of her staring at the camera and me biting her head....we use it to scare away creepy perverts on AIM! XDD

3. I have really bad ankles, like honestly, I can't stand for too long without needing some sort of pain pill and at night I can crack them forever! XDD

4. I enjoy nature and love going out for walks. I could spend all day outside, and usually, I did when I was younger. ^^

5. I love to sing, as a child I would pick up any one of my toys and start to sing a song about them...my sister hated me for it. XDDD

6. I used to make theatrical plays in my backyard when I was younger. We made all these fan fic crossover video game plays and I acted as Yoshi and Bowser! XDD

7. When I was younger, I wanted to be a marine biologist. I loved dolphins so much. I had posters of dolphins all over my room. ^^

8. I was the hugest Sonic fan when I was younger, I read the Archie comic, watched both of the cartoons that were on at the time and had all of the games. Now a days, I still have love for Sonic, and I hope a good game will come out, but so far nothing makes me want to play Sonic games, ever since Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic unleashed looked good, but I am scared about the whole were hedgehog thing. I'll always be open to it though.

This journal entry is needed! X_X Well, I'm working on my Crisis Core Cloud cosplay for Kevin. It's coming along well I guess, I'm at the point where I need some buckles and stuff for belts so progress has stopped for now. I started working more on my Crisis Core Aerith. I decided to make the pattern on the cosplay out of fabric instead of paint. The paint was kind of chipping if I sat on it and stuff so I want to change that! X_X I can't be walking around a convention and be losing part of my costume to chipping! XD So I'm working on that, the top should be done today, and then the skirt, who knows!
