Update! ^__^

Thu May 14, 2009, 10:32 AM
Well, I finished my Princess Lana cosplay! (YAY!) so now the only loose end I really have is Zero Suit Samus and Reimi. I hope to finish those at some time but for now I am focusing on Otakon 2009. We bought a special gun for CC Cloud but unfortunately it has "moving parts" so I don't think we can bring it to the con, better safe than sorry, besides, you don't really see Cloud shoot too often, I re-checked all the FMV and there isn't much of him shooting. We are also working on the baton like thing and that is almost done, I am so happy with the color of spray paint we bought, it really looks perfect! ^__^ Other than that I went to a local convention Anime Syracuse as Princess Peach just to see how it would work. I now know I NEED to hot glue the crown to the wig, it fell off REPEATEDLY! And worse, I came in fourth place and when I went to accept my prize (Mario Kart DS candies! <3) the crown fell off AGAIN and one of my jewels broke off! X__X I WISHED I had some sort of super glue with me but unfortunately I did not. So the Princess, was crownless! XDD I have to make sure that doesn't happen at Otakon. Also, I found that moving around as Peach, is very difficult as lace likes to get caught up on corners! XDD Charlie would go somewhere and I would be a mile behind! XDD Charlie right now is working on a huge Mario head made of paper mache. It's really cool and I have complete faith that it will look awesome when he is finished. We tried to plan out where we can put holes in to breathe and all that good stuff. We have like a month and a half, it's really starting to get scary how much we have to get done! X__X Well, I'm off for now, later! ^__^

Good luck with Peach! You could try rubber cement to hold the gems on or gorilla glue. :)

I second the gorilla glue comment. It was able to glue my roommates side-mirror on her car back on, so I'm sure it'll for sure hold the gems.

Good luck getting everything done!! I'm rooting for you! And I can't wait for pictures^^

Sanity?
What would I do with something as useless as that?
Lucky for me, I never had such a thing.

Reimi as in Reimi Saionji from Star Ocean- The last hope?
If so, then YAY! I love that game and you would be totally AWESOME as her!
Is it difficult making the costume? Because the skirt seems to be a bit of a bother to make? >_<
(But this also could be because I'm a newbie Cosplayer D= )

And if it isn't Reimi Saionji then... An idea? (I wouldn't feel foolish at all =] )

Yeah, you got it right! ^__^ The skirt panels are already done, they weren't too hard, I'm not looking forward to the actual top. I have the shorts done too.

I have a pic here...

I'm really worried about the top and the arm areas, lol, it's as if no part of that girl is not covered in detail! X__X

Well, I glued the gem back on with hot glue, my main problem is keeping it on the wig, I have gorilla glue in my closet but I was reading the back and it was talking about expanding..does it foam or something? How does it work?

Thanks, I think everything will get done in time! <3
:iconff7sam:
Thanks! Yeah, I got the gem back on but it's just getting the crown to stay on my head, I am thinking of adding some hair clips to the crown like I did for my Lana cosplay..
:iconbalthierflare:
Good luck on fixing it! :)

I don't know about foaming, but you have to mix it with water to get it to stick, so maybe it just means use less glue so that it will mix better with the water. You'd also have to pin the crown in place for at least 24 hours so that the glue would stick. We had to tape my roommate's mirror on her car for a day before the gorilla glue would actually make it stay. At first we were like "it isn't working! ><" then realized gorilla glue takes a while to dry and become glue. It takes time to actually "become" glue, but once it sticks it works really well.

Also, may I ask you something? How did you make your crown and broach for Princess Peach? It may be easier for you to e-mail/note me a reply if you'd like. Thankees, Sam^^ Also, it's been forever since I've talked with you! How are you doing?

YAY!

And that's so cool! What material did you use for the shorts?

And I agree, it looks all difficult, but I'm sure you do it all great =D

Please keep updates on the costume?
